Emerson has spoken and presented at many venues including the Prostate Cancer, Life or Pride, where his message to the men was that if you have Prostate Cancer you don't have to die but you can survive!

Emerson is the owner of Stream By Emerson , broadcasting live online Prostate Cancer Awareness.

He has also spoken on The Power of One at the Christian Theological Seminary on Understanding, Preventing and Responding to Firearm Violence and Suicide.

Emerson has served as member of the Indiana State Suicide Prevention Coalition, He is the recipient of the M.G. Raby Distinguished Service Award from Wayne Township Metropolitan School District. He is listed in the Who's Who in Black Indianapolis.
